SHOULD HE, O SHOULDN'T HE?There are a few different things to be looking for, following your laser hair removal treatments, whether professionally done or using an at home hair removal device.

Normally there really is not too much to worry about if you are having this done by a professional, as they are trained in aspects of skin-care along with using the laser hair removal machine.  Most places will give you a take-home sheet of possible, contra-indications following treatment and advice on what to do if a negative reaction of any kind were to happen.

An example might be having a slight burn on the surface of the skin.  This is not particularly uncommon in the field, no doubt you have been asked to sign a waiver releasing the hair removal technician in case something like this were to happen.  Honestly, a bit of a skin reaction is not a bad thing.  Technicians are unable to see exactly what they are doing, and you do want to be sure your hair is truly getting something!  A slight skin redness after the fact will reassure both you and your technician that the machine is working well and the bulbs of your hairs have received what you came for – a laser treatment.  As a professional tech myself in the field, this expected redness is medically called erythema or edema.
